OTTAWA, Sept. 17 — Spotwave Wireless has named Bill Carlin its new chief executive officer, effective Oct. 4. Mr. Carlin is currently senior vice-president and COO of interWAVE Communications, a global GSM/CDMA wireless network infrastructure provider. Shane Young, co-founder of Spotwave Wireless, will retain his duties as president of the company and remain a member of the Spotwave executive team and the board of directors. Mr. Carlin will also become a member of the company's board of directors.
